heh... cost about $300, and well worth it, in my opinion!
pulling the dash isn't really that hard. it would be much easier with 2 people, but i did it on my own no worries.
and you'll love what you'll find in your 20yo ducting. i gave everything a scrub out with truck wash, split open the heater, fan, and AC boxes and cleaned them out, rustkilled their springclips, then i cut new seals out of foam to replace the originals (which by now will all be brittle and powdery...)
depends on how serious you want to get... but the heater core is definitely worth doing if the dash will be out... if the core is good it should only end up costing u an extra $50 or so for the pressure test to be done, and the core cleaned.
