the letter in the engine name "K" refers to the block that is used. ie 4K 3K 2K etc all use the same engine block. the number refers to the version of that engine that it is. 4k is the 4th version that was made, refering to bore, stroke, etc.

basically all K series engines will bolt in, and pretty much no other engine without modifications.
