I believe you mean the TA22..

If you can find them, I reckon the RA28s are the sweetest shell. They have the 2.0l standard, so that opens your options up when you consider engine swaps. Similar goes for the RA23, though that is the coupe shape, which is up to your own tastes.

The TA22 is MUCH easier to find parts for, but they are limited in their engine size when you consider conversions. Also the engine bay is shorter in the TA22.

The strength of the driveline is in favour of the R series shells which is reasonable when you consider they had a larger engine from factory.

The two coupe shapes (TA22 and RA23) are basically the same from the firewall back (excluding the interior and transmission). If you ever have the misfortune of hunting for a decent RA23/8 front bumper then you will know exactly what I mean when i say TA22 parts are relatively easier to find.

Hope this helps

cheers..

tom.
