Sounds like an air temp sensor - Either make a decent, airtight place for it in the pipe you fit to install your lampshade (you ARE gonna fit a decent piece of pipe, not just stick it straight on the throttle, yeah??..), or if you like to be a tad bodgy, cable tie it to the outside of the lampshade (You may need to lengthen the wires...)
