With regards to the blue smoke at start up, its a puff of blue smoke as soon as I start the car (definite blue, not white) and if I drive it straight up the driveway it'll puff more blue smoke out, but once its warmed up a bit and got the oil circulating it stops smoking blue (only about 20-30 seconds till it stops)
The other thing I've noticed is after a fresh oil change it doesn't do it, but as I'm changing my oil about every 4000kms I'm not gonna change more frequently just for that... just means I ahve to top up every fortnight in between changes...
My car had only done 113,000kms when I picked it up, although I suspect its been deregistered and re registered so probably was sitting around for a year doing nothing which wouldn't have helped the seals at all...
