1UZ FTE Regular Registered: May 2002	Re: Recomendations on Toyota Ute for a 1J Thu, 20 May 2004 02:48 Thanks for the stout idea guys but i have had a look at a stout and it definatley does not meet the criteria of fitting relativley easy Draven I have done a search and spent a good 2-3hrs reading any post with the hilux posted little alone 1J all before i posted I noted that there is plenty of post for a hilux and a 1u but i already have a 1u and would like to play with something different I was looking for constructive information from someone who may have actaully done a conversion seen a conversion or know the process for a 1j in any toyota ute conversion eg if you use a single turbo model 1J in a 85model hilux the exhaust will clear the steering box with ease where as a twin turbo model won't fit at all without modification the to the steering anyway no offence intended to anyone just trying to do the homework before rushing out an buying a ute and a 1J for some fun Keep anyideas comming as i am keen for this conversion to happen Need a Ute basically [Updated on: Thu, 20 May 2004 02:49] [Report message to a moderator]
