I think you'll struggle to find any tyre in the size you want that will provide adequate grip? Stew/Toy 77 has made an important comment in regards to sidewall construction, as this will have a dramatic effect on the tyres ability to grip in high torque/low speed applications.
The Toyo Proxes RA-1's mentioned above are a step in the right direction, however again, I think you'll have a problem with sizing. You may want to reconsider you're rim selection as a 6.5" rim isn't wide enought to give the footprint you'll want with these R Comp style tyres.
Having said all that, I'll also let you know I have a pair of R-comps in the shed for sale. Yokahama Advan 0032R tyres in 245/45/16 sizing for $100/pr, if you can bring yourself to source 16" rims?!!!
