Hi
thanks for the replys guys more problems have devoloped too! the car is rough it seems until the main jets come on? then its normal unless it decides to go spastic and miss. the car also has a tenanicy to backfire out the carbs. perhaps a loose venturi?
as far as i know the coil is one without a resister it was the one strapped to the igniter assembly so i presumed it would be correct (but one thing i have learnt is to NEVER asume ANYTHING!) I will test the coil and check the plugs to see if one or more is fouling and a compresion test.
how would i test the coil to see if it has a resister?
thanks in advance daniel.
PS i may take u up on that phil and change the valve seals while im doing the headgasket and check the shims wheee!
