Hi Stew - just checked then and all the pic seem to be working... anyhoo - It's a bit hard to say how it compares to new digital cameras as there's so much more available now then there was back when i bought this one. I've seen a similar spec (ie. 1.3 mega pixel) camera from Fuji which is available for around the $300 mark, however this wouldn't come with any additional smartmedia memory, or the external USB memory reader. I spent about $350 on all the extra things back when i bought it, although I'm not sure how much the price has dropped on smartmedia, so i can't really say how much these things would cost now..
