Well a disappointing time overnight as the new sponsor is more in the stopping business than the going business(brakes and stuff)-even their web site is slow so I have told them I cannot continue with them and so I have prepared a spec sheet of the current "".8"" because I have to get this resolved and return to fitting the High Performance carpets in the Cressida which is sitting somewhat forlornly on the front yard
The blue light twinklers (NSW branch) turned up last night and wanted to know what the hell was happening in my back shed as they had reports of a ".3L+TT(20Lbs)AWD 6 Spd"cruising the neighbourhood shaking letterboxes ,frightening the cats and curdling the cream, seems it was red lining at 8800rpm in 3rd melting the road and baying at the moon as well as the change light confusing incoming aircraft and the bomb squad were on high alert because of BOV vibrations cracking some windows up to 14km's away
I convinced them it was not me (this time) as while I did have one like that it was a stock standard collectible dual exhaust model and had no stickers on it so it looks like this ".8" and anyway my wife had gone all portable and had it with her in Woy Woy while she was visiting her mother in her retirement home - they bought it and went away
The other thing is and this is really scary with the power this now has is that its uncontrollable in traffic and will not repeat will not go around corners which was a real worry on the way down Woy Woy Road
To combat this increased blue twinkler interest I will remove the dual exhaust and put it away safe for the future and go for a very stock look "." which is also easy to fix anywhere you go
All in all its been a healthy mental exercise and will no doubt feature in Australian Muscle Car in about 20 years which will really piss off those V8iron boys but who cares...one last blast then its back in the shed for the red dot racer(::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
