I cannot remember if the 4AGZE uses a stepper motor for idle control but as just about every other Toyota engine does then it's likely. To my knowledge, Haltech is the only manufacturer to offer stepper control.

If your Microtech has a PWM output then you can use something like a Ford PWM idle valve or any number of other similiar valves found on other cars. Other than that, use one of the ON/OFF outputs to switch a vacuum solenoid based on water temp.

While aftermarket computer manufacturers would like people to believe a cold start idle valve is not required i am yet to see an engine work even close to a factory system without one.
