a Uni did a similar test on an otherweise stock 12a motor, they encloded it in a perpex cage, ran it on an engine dydno with oil and water systems, devised up a crude carby (read open and wide) that would supply the air, had extractors and thats it, they wanted to see how many RPM they could get before it blew up. The result? 22.7K rpm!! and it held that for a few minutes before exploding in a BIG way it pretty much distroyed everything including the perpex cage it was in. Pretty impressive too.
