Mon, 09 September 2002 03:14 I woke up sunday morning with a hangover, only to discover my missing coolant had made friends with my oil I'm getting the toyota workshop manual for the how-to (AE82 twincam16) I intend to fix this myself, but I've got a few questions.. - Should I use genuine toyota gaskets? (~$90) - Should I replace head studs? (daily driver, not a track warrior) - What is a possible cause of this HG failure, given that the engine is still perfectly drivable with no noticable loss of compression? - Am I likely to find a warped head? - Is the head likely to be corroded, and need welding and straightening? - If so, am I better off getting a s/h head from the wreckers than repairing this one?
