My car (and a number of others on this forum) have/had run the factory ZE computer quite successfully on the 4AGTE setup. Mine ran comfortably up to about 15 psi and made about 155rwkw. If you are only going to run low boost (what ever that may be) assuming its lower than 15psi you won't require any sort of piggy back style ecu (if you have all the factory bits associated with the standard ecu, sensors etc).
I now run a standalone system but that was only becuase I made significant changes to my overall setup and was chasing more power.
