I like the RA23's and 28's, prefer the flat front compared to the swept back look of the 22's.. also I think the bonnet bulge makes them look quite mean.
As far as finding one that has little rust, you're going to have some fun there. I picked mine up for $800 with some rust in one sill, and a few little bits here and there. It has been sanded back and all spots replaced with new metal. Mongrel of a job but well worth it when compared to looking at your car in six months time when the body filler you used on the hole has fallen through. 
The only damage on my car was a bent passenger guard and rusty bent door, but those were thrown away and newer ones are getting ready to be put in their place. I also managed to get the previous owner to give me a manual box and tailshaft, and two extra 18RC's, even though I have bought an 18RG to put in her.
Make sure when you are looking for your Celica, that you really examine the ones with new paint etc... A lot of the time it hasn't been repaired properly, and rust will start to come through again soon. A lot of the time, one that looks crappy will end up being the easier one to fix!
