Cause that could be the entire source of your problem dude As for the whining noise? Who knows Could be the tensioner and idle pulleys - they tend to get a bit whiny...or it could be the timing belt itself. And the front right strut problem - could also be attributed to the fact that people take way more left than right hand turns, and people tend to go alot harder on left turns than right turns (entry speed on left hand corners is usually alot higher than right handers where you are generally going from standstill).
