piggyback timing controllers are a decent alternative. You will want to retard your timing under boost when you start to push your combination. A fuel controller will only get you so far. MSD boost timing master is another such, adjustable unit and has been run sucessfully on 12, 11 and 10sec daily drivers. Piggybacks work.
safc + btm + stock ecu is very common. Most folks buy them used, so its hard to beat the dollar value.
