Swap the gears all you want, they drive the rotors which compress the air to give you boost. now these rotors are designed to spin ONE way and one way only.... So running them backwardas is fraught with danger.

ok well i finally found this thread again.
this shows the gears of an sc12. If i switched the sides that the gear are on and ran the unit backwards, would it be fine then??
the car is a 1981 2nd gen civic. Theres enough room to mount the blower, but the damn engine spins the wrong way.
