hey dude it could be alot of things..what i can think of is the timing is out..sometimes it makes like a knocking noise/pinging noise, valve stems hitting the pistons and making a taping noise or even worse u could have a spun conrod bearing..except when uve got that its REALLY loud and really crap to drive..does it effect the driving or idle..or is it just a noise? i dont think the power steering or fuel pump would make such a noise but i couuld be wrong(most likly  )
