Rob,
This particular head (Batesy's one) has been ported or the stock head looks like a ported head in your opinion ?
I am really looking for a STOCK unported head so I can compare the two.
Have you actually looked at the two chamber designs side by side. The 88262 valves appear to sit alot lower and I really want to compare the combustion chamber sizes. At initial glance it looks like the 88262 head has no chance in hell of offering any sort of N/A performance. 
Do you have head flow figures for this particular head or were you just told it was "Better now" by a workshop ?

Sorry to hear you bought a Busted engine Its always a gamble buying second hand engines I guess. I hope your not too out of Pocket.
