1985 daihatsu charade, carby, sohc, 996cc, 3 cylinder, turbo - no intercooler.
Ran 14psi of boost for months before the head gasket blew because of low coolant.
Was also revved in first gear when the pedal got stuck behind some loose carpet and went right past the 8000rpm on the tacho and stayed there for a few seconds untill the nuts on the tappets vibrated loose so it was only running on 1 cylinder. this was fixed in an arvo and good as new the next day.
come to think of it that whole car, not just the engine, got the biggest thrashing ever.
