Nah mate, I was in Sydney all weekend, but there's far too many Phil's in the CCG, so I wouldn't be surprised if you met at least 2 of them! 
I pulled the 4AC out of my AE71 (RWD) a couple of weeks ago. It was running fine except it seems a bit lean until you step on it, light load it surges a bit (definately carby related). Compression tested 175psi on all 4 cylinders, so the motor is healthy enough, you could just swap over the carby from yours onto this one, probably be a good idea to swap your water pump over also, as it didn't seem to be circulating water very well.
