I find the same issues with some older 4AG's ive done, theres sometimes one or two that dont feel like theyre.. how can i put it.... biting in? properly, and even if you go to new arp bolts its improved but not as good. Im thinking that there is somehow minor vibration wear occuring on the threads in the block so these bolts arent getting full friction face to face?? ( does that make sense? ) when youre locking them down. If this is the case it is easy to move on to the next stage and say that the overall torque of the head is uneven ( despite what the load on the bolt reads at the micrometer ) and therefore is possibly prone to blow.
thoughts?? maybe im full of hot air with my theorys LOL failing that im standing in bullshit
