Thu, 03 June 2004 06:33 exactly.. the whole point of a bellmouth is because most air gets pulled in from the sides of the runner opening.. by havign a trumpet, you increase the diameter of the opening, so you effectively have more area for the air to enter the runner. in fact a lot of air actually gets pulled in from "behind" the trumpet, so it's important to have the curve continuing over and folding back around to the trumpet again... not having trumpets means you just have a hole.. and that is not very good as far as air entering the runners goes.. you will lose both velocity and resonance tuning, which is what makes the 20V good in the first place.. i think Bens trumpets look the goods [Updated on: Thu, 03 June 2004 06:34] [Report message to a moderator]
