sorry to hear what happened, what was the cause of the battery coming loose? I checked your strap and it was tight ther other night when steve fixed the wiring.

I would take all the leads off (number them so you know where to put them) and clean them up, wash them in soapy water and leave to dry, i would degrease the entire side of the block, wires and all, then hose off with high pressure spray.

The round thing is the Oil pressure sender unit for the gauge on your dash. It will not cause any of the above problems.
