Sun, 06 June 2004 08:57 answer: write a formal written complaint to the ombudsman in your state. They will investigate your claim and give you a written conclusion to their investigations. Apart from being a hassle to the cop involved, a finding there can be held up in court (eg. findings of illegal assault etc). Ive had a cop call me up to try and apologise once i made it clear to their seargant that i was going to the ombudsman.. Still awaiting the conclusion to their investigation. tom.
