ok, I bought it from IRALLY, Michael who has had it from new. Never been dropped let alone crashed etc etc and every mark accounted for.
Of course he "could" be making all that up, but somehow I doubt it. 
That said, the ONLY way to be safe is to have it from the shop, though, there is no guaruntee that they didn't drop it in the shop somewhere heheh
You are all right. However, considering my main purposes atm are a cams license and WSID, my helmey will be ok
My MTB helmet has literally saved my life on many occasions and I appreciate the value of good protection.
Dudes thanks for the wise reminders. It is so cool to think there are some top dudes like you all on here. Your advice WILL ensure I get a new helmet before I take to track racing or rally driving.
I wouldn't even think of buying second hand if I was going to be motorbike riding
