TA22 GT Regular Registered: November 2002	Re: 3T-GTE & 13B Turbo injectors Fri, 11 June 2004 13:03 Yep, stock ECU uses low impedence injectors. Around 2 or 3 ohms. I ran 440cc injectors with stock ecu and GT25 turbo by tuning the AFM. The spring tension you need on the stock AFM for big injectors is very high and does cause other problems. Eg, you have to sacrifice either cold start conditions to get top end right with the AFM, or get cold start and idle right and then sacrifice top end power. Although I did get reasonable results this way, mixing this type of tuning with boost above 10psi and stock pistons is not a good idea. I'm now running a Microtech fuel/ignition setup which is soooo much better than the old set up and the nightmare tuning of the AFM etc. Spend the $ on an aftermarket computer now and it could avoid you needing to replace pistons as well.
