take out the ashtray, and the 2 screws that hold the ashtray mounting. Behind there there is a plug which has the wiring for the ciggie lighter and the light for the ashtray - obviously you need to unplug this too.
there will be a bit of resistance since this big L shaped panel is held in by a bunch of clips, getting a flathead screwwie in behind the panel to pop it off helps a bit.
