Strength of TIG Welds Sun, 13 June 2004 01:45 Go to previous message
Just trying to figure out my quads adaptors. What would the strength of a TIG weld from a 12 or 15mm alloy plate to thick wall alloy tube.
Like would it hold up under a set of throttle bodies and an alloy airbox sitting off them?

EDIT: The plate on one end will be a sleeve design, i.e. the alloy tube will slide inside the plate for extra strength. Considering doing this on both ends.
