Just make sure the Aluminum grade is right. 2011-T3 should be the minimum grade.

How long would the overhang be? The last set of quads (AE101 stock) I had for the 16V were mounted to a steel adaptor, mounting plates were 10mm on both ends and the pipe's 40mm OD, 80mm in length. Over engineering by 30% shouldnt hurt.
