chris TIG is one of the strongest welds available (when done properly with correct penetration)

like dave says though - rig up a brace down to the block like how the 86 and 100kw motors do....because when you're working on your engine there is a good chance you'll lean on em for whatever reason (i know i sometimes do lean on my inlet manifold - and yeah i had to re-fabricate my brace as my LPG convertor sits underneathe my inlet manifold)
