OK,
I have a 2.5" press bent exhaust on my turbo sprinter, which means that it narrows down to about 2" going over the diff. This restriction causes boost to come in at 4000 rpm, peak at about 6500 rpm, then die off at higher revs.
So, I'm currently saving for a 3" mandrel system, which will hopefully bring boost in earlier and hold it strong all the way to 7000-7500 rpm, and make more power, too. Sounds worth it to me!
The only challenge is to make sure it ain't loud as hell.
