Yeah, people really are dumb, although I think it has more to do with not being trained on paying attention and looking all the time, which my instructor drummed into me.
I had someone reverse about 15m and straight into the front of my car with their shitty little Colt. I was checking out my gauges as my alternator was playing up at that moment, and as I look up, bam...so stupid.
