Mate you can get a balljoint splitter tool that is like a wedge shape that pushes them apart. But normally i've used this tool when the ball joint isn't f*^ked like yours is. There is so much space there the tool might not work.

Otherwise, you can hit no.2 very hard with a hammer and the shock often knocks it off.
