acutally the density thing is only in reference to lower octane fuel..
typically, when you go to higher octane ratings, you decrease the amunt of energy stored and need to burn a larger volume of fuel (think alcohol)
initially when the higher octane stuff came out, it had less energy/volume and this could cause problems if mixtures go a little lean (we're talking 2 or 3% only)
the density thing basically means that you don't need to recalibrate the amount of fuel going in.. but you can still use more compression and advance..
