exactly! VVT is there so that at LOWER rpm you have MORE torque and power!!! without VVT, it's just a cammed 100kw with an extra valve and quads. low-mid range will suffer..
the 20V's already have pretty good torque (ie close to as much as possible) so abotu all you can do is move the torque band upwards and get more POWAH...
as Johnny said:
exhaust, air filter, then expensive internal mods.
or turbo
