1J/2J have chunkier bearings ect from factory so can take alittle bit of a beating (check out the post i put up about how hard i reved the thing for those that have not read it it was very close to 11 grand though this is prolly more of a fluke it didnt break and runs fine) RB26 is a fab engine though and will handle upwards of 300kw easy though, when your asking that much power 150-300% of what its designed to do we something might let go....if your asking this question cause your looking at an engine swap do yourself a favour and get a 1J much much more value for money and pretty much exat power/tourque ratings of an RB26
