I did the real 50Hours (i got my L's 2000 December, and just got my p's 2002 March..) that helped.. but i still didnt feel confident on the road. it still took me about 2/3months to get used to driving alone. Its pretty shocking when you find out how easy it is to get your provisionals.. esp with my test.. they missed out a few things. All i remember was a 10 minute drive. Rta, over the bridge, Turned right reversed parked behind a car. turned left. stop sign. left again. over the bridge. right. back to the RTA. See how easy that was.. it was nearly 10minutes at the most, and im pretty sure i didnt even go anywhere near a roundabout on that route and im pretty sure.. Got my lisence first go. it was my local area and i drive around that way nearly all the time. There should be more stuff todo for getting your P plates.. parking and reversing is so easy. i reckon there should be something like a bike course.. wheres there's an obsticle course with cones and stuff or something. You got a book.. done your hours ok. And how many hours can you say you honestly did? i know many ppl who just signed it off.. and i feel pretty scared being with them as the driver. But yeah.. It is just way to easy. Not everyone drives the way they did on their exam or Leaners stage.. you start making bad habbits or just hear people go heh, who cares that was only on your l's. but thats the reason why so many people end up in the wood.
