Almost took out a bunch of photographers (rest of the spectators were safely behind the taped off area), before straightening up to go on and win the event! Rally NZ a few years back Colin McRae actually broke the leg of a photographer who stepped too far out (never stopped, just drove on). From my own experience organising events here in NZ (pretty low level stuff but the principals should be the same) we put signs up saying MOTORSPORT IS DANGEROUS ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK and as long as our paperwork is in order in terms of putting marshals in high risk/easy access spots we are covered. My view is if you can't use your own common sense you probably deserve to get run over, but the poor driver doesn't deserve the damage to the car. [Report message to a moderator]
