I got a 2pound mother with a short handle, the rectangular prism type. I screw the nut back on to give me a bigger striking surface. You should get a new nut with the new ball joint any way, but if ur going to reuse it, I suggest u get some old nut that fits on and use that instead. 1-2 good wacks will pop it out.
