I don't want to get an engine conversion that would need an engineers certificate.... to much money and hassle, not to mention insurance... Would love to go a 3T,1J,1G turbo's if I could. Yep the 18r-c is a turd..... My main aim is to find a 18r-g but finding one in decent condition (not requiring a rebuild) is getting pretty hard nowadays... If you can find me one at a good price..... I'd go that way. The only custom work I'd expect to be done is the exhaust piping and extractors and the cam. The Webber can just bolt on with a little bit of fiddling so I'm not worried. The custom work on the extractors and piping shouldn't cost much as it is only small diameter stuff.... and the can shouldn't cost much to regrind.. I'm only looking for a little bit more power... preferably low end and mid range.. and not a crazy fast 18r-c. I'm still wanting to know of any decent places to shop in sydney?
