Too true. The brass fittings are pretty ordinary quality, and really dont go well with the weight of an electric oil pressure sender hanging off the end. Its a real bitch to get the broken piece out of the thread in the block too!
Another idea for the water is to feed from the block. Near the front of the block on the exhuast side there is a brass coolant drainage tap that can be removed & replaced with a hose fitting, then have the other hose from the turbo going back to the top radiator tank (or whichever is the hot side of the radiator if your tanks are on either side)
