The W55 I think is the weakest one of the lot, with different gear ratios.
The W57 has the same ratios as a W58, but has an alloy sandwich plate. Out of RA60/SA62 Celicas. Pretty strong, would break eventually, but would come down to how you drive it.
The W58 has a steel sandwich plate, same ratios as W57 except the 5th gear. Stronger too. MA61 Supra...some RA65's...later model Mk3 and Mk4 NA Supras had even stronger versions.
