Mon, 28 June 2004 17:01 since its carby i recon you look down the carby and accelerate and make sure it is feeding petrol firstly. do you get any backfire? either from carby side or exhaust, if so then timing. also the so called healthy spark, is that from the coil lead or have you checked each spark plug as well? you may get good spark when unplug lead from dizzy but a few months of sitting and the dizzy terminals may be coroded. maybe you have checked this but i would ensure there is spark to every lead. another thing may be dirt in cylinder. for that i just take out all spark plugs and crank it for 30sec and the compression from each cylinder will force any dirt, soot or whatever out other than that you can just try try and try again till she kicks over. if i leave my 3T carby not started for a week she is a bitch to start. i find carbys tend to dry up quick and if you say its been a few months then she dry as and needs to be made wet [Report message to a moderator]
