the cable ties are holding it in alright and stops the backend from moving around but i don't drive it hard around the corners in this condition, i cut bits of the old bonnet out and it doesn't look that bad, like i don't see why it wouldn't hold as a cable tie is holding it in for now and once i weld a 2nd plate onto it then i'm welding the bolt to the remaining part of body it should have a bit of strength in it.
plus i thought itwould make it easier to weld as they are the same type of metals.
plus i know its dodgy i say that to myself all the time but its all i can do at the moment, i don't have a worry of the car loosing control as i know that wont happen unless your really puhing it i'm more worried about damaging other parts of the suspension and so forth.
