some KE20 had either 5.7" (X series?) and some had 6" (U series). TE27 had 6.38" (S series) diff i think, if not that then a 6.7" (T series). it's on matti kalahati's and/or tom carter's webpage. google them
really it depends how you drive it. flogging the arse out of one of these little diffs even with a stock 3K will kill it in due time. angela in SA has a 225bhp turbo 5K in a ke10 with the stock 5.7" diff, but she doesn't do burnouts or hard launches (quote: "the funnest part about driving my car is slipping the back out changing from second to third")
also are you running open center / lsd / locker? this will majorly affect your axle lifespan. lockers are fun 
what diff do you have ke382tg? or really just what size is the ring gear?
