Half you people probably don't even service your cars regularly anyway - 9,000km? On a 'performance' car? You've gotta be joking!
IMO all cars should be serviced every 5,000kms... particularly if it fits one of these criterion:
* your engine is already getting on a bit
* you wring it's neck
* it is a highly strung engine
* you get off on being oiled up
If you think about it, a daily driver also goes through more heat cycles (short trips) than a performance car so being a daily is probably no excuse for poor servicing.
It's also a great feeling to know that everything on your car is ridgy-didge.

Its just a extra cost , thats way to much for a SERVICE part compaired to a other vehicles . I totally agree that the oil should be changed ever 5.000 klm { but i will not go into oils }. But i think that most of the people here would use there cars for daily driving , not just "performance" use .
If you really want to go further into Servicing we can for sure . Which types of manufacture would you like to discuss servicing and costing labour times etc ? This is a list of Manufactures i have worked for and done service costing / routines for .
MG group before Bmw take over
Saab { before and after Gm take over }
Landrover
RangeRover { during and after Bmw take over }
Alfa Romeo { before and after 48% sales of company from fiat to Gm }
Peugeot
Maserati { Before and after Ferrari take over }
Ferrari
Bentley
Ford
Honda
And run fleets of Toyotas .
Yes that should show my age
I was just wanting peoples views on there costing retail .
Because these filters are a rip off for most Japanese cars i have come across , not just at a Retail level but also at trade discount level { which most larger manufactures / dealer is only 10% less , which doesn't help with GST } .
