OK, i have read a fair few posts about the 7MGTE blown head gaskets, and without offending anyone, i have not started a new subject, but posting on an old one, but.....
What are the symptoms of a blown head gasket?
Where can i get the work done, reliably in Sydney?
How can i find out about whether my motor has been modded, without stripping it down.I have lost all the details about the last owner, who did the conversion, so i can not go back there.
I too am on a budget, and rather strict one at that.
I know no details about the 7MGTE in my crown, apart from when you give it the boot, it goes, but it idles abit lumpy now, and is going thru about 500mls of radiator fluid a trip of about 26 or more KM's, and i am not happy.When cold, the exhaust smoke is on the whitish side, and feels moist, not a dry heat type of exhaust feel i have had in my KE and TE corollas in the past.
I am not happy about that, and have a screwed up back from 11 1/2 years of nursing, so i am not in a position to do the work myself.
Please, can anyone help me out.
