Hiace Workshop Manual/ Engine upgrade?

Hey. I'm trying to do so some maintenance on my van, so I browsed the internet for a workshop manual and found this site. Thought You guys might be able to help so I joined up. Do you know where I can download a 1990 Toyota Hiace GL 2.0 automatic workshop manual? Or even a manual on the 1RZ engine?
Also, I've always been pretty happy with the van but where I live now is really hilly. So i thought I'd sell my current one and get one with more power, but there doesn't appear to be any bigger petrol manual or autos for sale over here in NZ.
So can I fang a bigger engine in my auto? Whats the biggest Toyota engine that would bolt straight in there?
I don't really know much about cars n that but my brother in law is a great mechanic so if I can find out what engine might bolt right in and mate up sweet he could help me do it.
